We wanted to visit Cape Reinga and discovered this perfect stay as we were searching for accommodations. The room was really clean (best tidiness and cleaning we had in New Zealand) and had everything we needed. A 5-minute drive away is the Tonui Lucid Cafe, which we recommend for breakfast; the view is beautiful and the food delicious. We arrived around 5 p.m. at the accommodation, had a wonderful chat with the hosts, and left our luggage there. We still made it to the grand dunes to surf a little in the sand. Afterwards, there was still time to check out Cape Reingas lighthouse in a marvellous sunset. After a good night's sleep, we went to eat breakfast at the Lucid Cafe, checked out the Gumdiggers Forest, and continued to the Maitai Beach (we absolutely recommend this beach!). So, the place has a perfect location.
