Nostalgic stay in an well renovated post office. They still have the old hooks for coats on the wall, lovely. The host Malyar was very helpful and friendly and really made us feel at home. Loved the windmill just across the street.

We were lucky to have booked this place. If you are not staying here for atleast two nights you are missing something. A wonderful place, wonderful history, wonderful amenities, wonderful ambience, well kept, clean and homely. Kelly is such a nice host. She even gave us a tour of the entire property and made us feel right at home. She had also left us welcome treats and a bottle of wine in the room. This a gem located very close to Foxton beach yet away from the busy city life. Highly recommended for travelers who would like to stay away from bustling city areas.

The apartment was very spacious and there was everything you could possibly need for your stay. The bedrooms were lovely, we stayed here as a couple and my sister and it was really nice that she got to have the same size bedroom as my husband and I. The bedding and towels were very good quality. The kitchen was immaculate with every from a potato peeler to a microwave. The only issue was the frying pan was very burnt and unusable, guessing the owner didn’t know as maybe it hadn’t been reported.we all enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Modern on Malthus.
