Really lovely host who made us feel so welcome. We loved sitting on our porch looking over the cherry orchard and countryside after a busy day sight seeing. The lodge is immaculately clean with good quality bedding and fluffy towels. Book it you won’t regret it. Thank you Fran for a great stay.

This was the most perfect homestay I experienced in New Zealand. The accommodation was impeccably tidy and exceptionally clean. The hostess was a fantastic host, offering many valuable suggestions for things to do and see in both the immediate area and beyond. Her breakfast included delicious homemade jam. Lots of things to like - very peaceful surroundings, the bed was very comfortable with beautiful bedding, lovely touches eg Alexa, elegant tea and coffee presentation box, offer of a bottle of milk on arrival. Inside the house was clean and tidy. Lots of room for us all. Good sized TV and lots of kitchen equipment to use. Loved the fireplace with good quality wood supplied! Heat pump if you don't want to make a fire.... Off street parking with gate.

We always enjoy staying at the Marsden Lake Resort. Great car parking, clean well appointed large units with large bathrooms with air conditioning, it was a very hot day on arrival. Stunning location with each unit having a deck you can sit and take in the view. Onsite restaurant with superb food. Excellent staff throughout the Resort.
