On our tour of the South Island of New Zealand , we needed a place to stay overnight, south of Queenstown. We stayed overnight, but had we known what wonderful cottage Sheena and Duncan had created, we would certainly have stayed longer. They immediately made us feel at home and the cottage has all the amenities you can imagine and on top of that is as sustainable as it gets. An inspiring example of the use water from rainfall and renewable energy to operate a self sustaining home. The view from the cottage is phenomenal and ‘a sky full of stars’ has a new meaning for us now.

We stayed in a wooden house. It was cute and cosy. Comfortable beds, spacious bathroom and a kitchen corner. Everything was new and nice. The house was next to the main road, but it was not disturbing or noisy.

Fantastic hosts! Our stay was very enjoyable. You could feel the homely atmosphere. The apartment was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. During our stay, we saw the aurora borealis that evening! Stunning experience!!!
