I had a very nice and spacy room with large windows and view. The place is quiet and perfect for relaxation, and still close to shops and restaurants. It is just next door to Asura Cave. I enjoyed the great hospitality of the owner/ the family at New Years Eve. My best recommendations.

The hotel feels so clean and has an air of relaxation about it. The family showed great hospitality, made delicious food, and we were even lucky to be invited to a dinner party with their friends and family. It was delightful to meet their elder son Sagar, who was also extremely hospitable, was a very interesting partner for conversation, speaks great English, and answered many of our questions and explained many things about Nepal that nobody else was able to explain to us on this trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at Solid Rock - beautiful room, incredible views, delicious food (dinner on arrival was amazing! tasted so good!), and such welcoming friendly hosts. We were especially grateful for Simon’s suggestion of a walk down to Pharping through the mountains and prayer flags - so beautiful! Would definitely visit again if we are in the area in the future!

The best experience we've had in Nepal. Mira takes care of every detail to make you feel almost part of their family. The room is extremely clean and comes with all the furniture you need, including a small kitchen that provides all you need to cook and eat in the table provided in the room. If you want, you can also ask Mira to cook dinner or lunch for you (her food is incredibly tasty). We were very sad when we said goodbye. We deeply recommend you to stay here.

The apartment was cozy, clean and staff made us like home. All staff including Ganesh were friendly and helped us navigate grocery, nearby amenities. Thamel was also close by , so it was great location for exploring areas.
