Our stay at The Kailash Boutique Hotel has been nothing less than an exceptional human experience. It is a new hotel with all required amenities. Rooms are clean. The beds are very comfortable. Despite being situated in the busy thamel region, the hotel is away from the noisy streets. All the staff are warm and helpful. Breakfast has a reasonable variety and is tasty. Mr Dol, the Manager is always around the corner trying to provide the support required to arrange for local sim cards, taxi bookings and sightseeing/hikes/treks.

The staff was very kind, especially Pramod was very helpful with suggestions what to do in the area and assisted me with general things like laundry, SIM card, etc. Being a mountaineer himself, he knows all about trekking in Nepal. The privacy in the dorms are also very enjoyable with convenient lockers provided. The common area serves food all day, and the WiFi is good for working there. Convenient location in the heart of Thamel, yet the building itself feels very peaceful. Great for backpackers.

This is my goto hotel in Kathmandu, mostly because of the location and the nice and quiet backyard. The wifi is excellent and the staff are really nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable. Good waterpressure and hot water in the shower.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Jampa during my first visit to Kathmandu, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. 😊 The rooms were just the right size for my needs, and the thoughtful touches, like complimentary water and shower gels, added to the comfort. Breakfast was delicious and offered a great start to each day. The reception staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. They answered all my questions with a smile and arranged a driver for me and a friend on short notice when we decided to visit the Swayambhunath Temple. Their efficiency and responsiveness were greatly appreciated. Another convenient feature was the currency exchange service available at the front desk. The hotel’s pickup and drop-off service was impeccable. As a first-time visitor to Nepal and a solo female traveler, I felt completely at ease. One gesture that stood out and truly touched me occurred during my departure. While on the way to the airport with their drop-off service, the receptionist messaged me to let me know that I had accidentally left behind a bag of souvenirs. At that point, we had already reached the airport, but the driver kindly returned to the hotel, retrieved my bag, and delivered it to me at the airport—all free of charge and with remarkable speed, given my flight was fast approaching. Overall, my experience at Hotel Jampa was wonderful. From the reception staff to the drivers and even the bodyguard, everyone contributed to making my first stay in Kathmandu feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared-for. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kathmandu. 🌟
