The view and the staff were amazing… I was blown away when the chef came out and personally informed me about the dishes that were to be prepared and served for dinner! He even recommended the different wines that pair nicely with each dish. It was a very intimate and comfortable place to stay. Made to feel very special!

Wow, what a characterful and historic place! We really enjoyed our stay. The views from our balcony (& big windows in the room) towards the fjord were lovely. Breakfast was very good. We can recommend the nearby cafe (also run by the hotel), where we had delicious afternoon tea/coffee and home-made cakes, and also an excellent evening meal of Thai curry! The hotel has only recently been taken over by a new owner and new staff & we wish them all the best. They were so friendly and gave us lots of helpful information about the area, and also about Norwegian life.

Quick and easy check in, nice location, and even a restaurant where we had some pizza for dinner. Everything was nice and clean and it was so great to swim in the clear blue water.

We stayed 3 nights in a Hytter. The camping is nice and quiet, there is a playground for kids. The Hytter was quite big, well equipped and clean. We enjoyed the small terrace for dinners. We had breakfast a the restaurant one morning, it was GREAT, best breakfast we had in Norway and very good value for money. We should have done it every morning ! Supermarket very close if you cook your own dinner

We stayed in one of the modern rooms, which has plenty of space and a nice porch on the lawn to enjoy the morning sun. This is a must see for everyone who just want to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape. It’s not cheap, but it’s with it.

This is for sure the best hotel we have stayed in Norway. Amazing lake view room with fresh air ventilation system, always smiling staff, nice entertainment room to play ping pong, table football, etc. There are also many choices for breakfast. You can also make your own waffle!
