I had an incredible experience here, would highly recommend! Everyone is extremely kind and helpful, the food is delicious and fresh, there are comfortable common areas with lots of couches and tables, my room was quite large with a comfortable bed and a gorgeous view out the window. You could not ask for a better location for winter activities--there are lots of trails for skiing, you can go over the mountains to the woods to cross-country ski, and the landscape is absolutely breathtaking. During my stay, I was able to attend the Ice Music festival in an igloo just in front of the hotel, and see ice sculptures by a local artist along the trails. I could not have asked for a better experience. Just make sure to plan ahead for a car or taxi from Ål since the buses don't reach that far up the mountain. I can't recommend it enough, I had such a beautiful stay and hope that I can come back!

What I liked the most about the apartment was the peace and comfort. Everything was clean, stylishly decorated, and fully equipped with all the essentials. The location was ideal – quiet yet conveniently close to everything you might need. I felt at home right away. The host's hospitality was also a big plus: friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. Everything was amazing! It is a very spacious cabin with a fully equipped kitchen and great lounge areas both indoors and outdoors. We were 5 people and it fit us very well. The cabin had very comfortable beds and everything was high quality and very cozy. The hosts did an amazing job with preparing all the bedding, setting up a fireplace, and welcoming us with freshly baked bread - this is way above the “typical Norwegian cabin” experience. We were lucky with the weather - worth mentioning the cabin is on the sunny side with sunrise and sunset directly seen from the panoramic windows/terrace. Totally recommended and an amazing value for money.

Beautiful location, skibus stops right outside twice a day (once there, once back), river nearby very pretty, staff wonderful. e were in one of the apartments which was a good size for the number of people. Cabins so pretty, and not on top of each other, but still a compact site - just right. A winter wonderland I will never forget. Perfect for children couples - peaceful setting and atmosphere. Note there is a large storage room under the ski rental centre at Vestlia where you can leave equipment which is really helpful.
