This is the perfect place to stay in Kuala Tahan. The backyard with the stunning riverfront view is really special and so relaxing — just what you need after a day in Taman Negara. We'd definitely choose this one again as it's a little bit more outside the busy area. The host was super friendly and even helped us arrange an amazing night safari!

Durian Chalet felt like home. The staff were very kind and helpful, the rooms were clean, big, beautifully placed in the big property. I loved that my chalet was in front of a large patch of pandan, and it smelt wonderful. The chalet is located away from the main town square and that made it much quieter-something that I really wanted. Overall, I will definitely be coming back and staying here.

We took a morning stroll in the garden, then enjoyed our breakfast by the river; the host Ijat saw to all our needs, from arranging rain forest activities, sending us there and picking us up , many times, to laundry, to little chats…adding comfort to every aspects of our stay. Food is good.

I had been wanting to stay here for years after visiting as a guide in the past. My stay didn’t disappoint, the only accommodation in the actual national park is a little aged but great. We loved the food, friendly staff, location and the setting. My recommendation is to go half board the food was l really tasty, good quality and enough to go round (even for a fussy 7 year old).

The location is very good, the hotel is near the bus parking and also the two main tour operator's offices. Our bungalow was large and comfortable, there is a fridge and a boiler and they provide clean towels everyday. The swimming pool is a plus. Good breakfast.

To reach the property need to cross the river by boat and no designated parking was provided at river bank I stayed 2 nights in Chalet no 7 and great place for kids run around. The single bed was broken where it sunk at the left side of the Head-board ( one of the leg must be broken hence cnt sleep when the bed is not same level. The cleanliness was very poor for the money paid. The housekeeping didn't use a vacuum at all. The breakfast is acceptable but the dinner can be improved

Good location and close proximity to small market and the short walk to river crossing. Quiet and not crowded location. Parking facilities. WiFi for those work/study. Good value for money.

The location was brilliant since we came and left by bus, it's right next to the bus station. If you drive there is ample parking out front. Tea and coffee available in the room, makes for a lovely coffee to take to the table just outside the room to sip and get into gear. Absolute silence at night.
