We had a flight that came into Cancun in the evening and decided to stay in Chiquila for one night before going to Isla Holbox. This little hotel was the PERFECT pit stop! The grounds are nice, the room and other areas very clean, very peaceful. Orlando, the manager, went beyond our expectations and greeted us the night we came in at 9:30pm with a smile and showed us to our room. He was very friendly and helpful the following day and took us to the ferry when we were ready to go. Don’t miss the breakfast….it’s so good! We had fresh fruit, ham and cheese omelet cooked to perfection, etc. The young lady cooking our breakfast did an exceptional job. If you have time and are not in a rush to get to Holbox, I would highly recommend staying here for a night to rest up and not be overly tired when you arrive in paradise. Beautiful family-run boutique hotel, it really looks like shown in the pictures. We loved our 3 night stay and would have loved to stay longer. Nice breakfast, clean rooms with super comfy beds and a beautiful view from the bed with a big glass front ( and curtains if you want your privacy). Hammocks and a little patio in front of every room, little garden to hang out. Felt like a little oasis within the hotel jungle on the island. The staff was super friendly. We loved especially the decoration.

The kindness and friendliness of the property manager, owner and staff, was exceptional. This is one of the most important aspects of anywhere that I stay. I was immediately welcomed and looked after, including lots of messages prior to my arrival regarding transport so that my journey to the island and hotel was as smooth as possible, including help with arranging a shuttle, where to wait at the airport and help with details about the ferry etc. I am very grateful. The room itself was beautiful and the area was very quiet, so I always slept well. The fridge in the room is a little loud so if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. I hope I get the chance to go back to Holbox and to stay at Villa Los Mangles again :)
