this hotel has been an absolutely amazing experience! the pool was very clean and has the most stunning view of the lake! also the hotel staff was so kind and service minded! they also arranged the best safari we could ever imagine, where we got to see the elephants up close and a lot of other animals! would definitely recommend

This was fantastic! At Web of Life, we had the most wonderful time! The resort is situated in an incredible spot, surrounded by nature, with a stunning view of a lake, and close to a hill offering a 360-degree view of the Wasgamuwa National Park and the Knuckles Mountain area. We stayed there for three nights and saw more wildlife than ever before: a huge variety of birds right outside our room, wild elephants just 10 minutes away, as well as peacocks, wild hens, and squirrels roaming through the resort. What we especially appreciated was the staff’s extensive knowledge of nature and their enthusiasm for protecting wildlife. Everyone was so warm-hearted and generous, and the food was absolutely delicious! We would love to visit again, perhaps for a longer trip next time!

Surrounded by picturesque mountains, scenic lakes and calming greenery, Kalundewa Retreat is truly a haven for the nature lover.

Beautiful location and lovely people. Brilliantly positioned for a safari and right on a gorgeous lake where you can swim. The food cooked by Sapun’s (sorry about the spelling)mother were some of the best Sri Lankan dishes we had over the entire holiday and sitting by the fire pit watching the fireflies after dinner as our two boys caught frogs in the garden was really special. Would highly recommend a stay here - you won’t be disappointed!

Sahan Guest House was an awesome find! The welcome was warm and genuine — I was even greeted with a refreshing welcome drink, which was a great touch after a long trip. The room was super clean, air-conditioned, and really comfortable. WiFi was fast and reliable, which was perfect for planning my day trips and staying connected. The location is perfect — right in the city, close to everything, and just a short ride to the ancient city. Super convenient if you’re exploring the cultural sites nearby. There’s also fast food and other restaurants nearby if you’re craving a quick bite. Honestly, the hospitality here is top-notch. Sahan and the team really care about their guests. It was a very clean and beautiful accommodation. The garden has a mango tree and we even saw some monkeys. A few steps away is a local vegetable and fruit market, we enjoyed. Breakfast and dinner was amazing! It was cooked by the hosts. They even helped us to buy something we lost on our journey and what is very hard to get in this area of Sri Lanka. Additionally we got great sight seeing insides. This guest house was.perfect for us.
