Everything. From the moment we entered the property we were in owe. We loved the jungle feeling, the fact that is so clean, the communication and how helpful Sandeep is, the food, the A frame houses, everything. So far, this has been our best stay in Sri Lanka and the place where I felt that I could have spent one extra night just to enjoy. PS: even the safari arranged by Sandeep was amazing! Thanks again!!

Leels safari cottage, a pocket of paradise. we spontaneously booked our stay here for 2 nights in hopes to do a safari. We’ve been travelling Sri Lanka for over a month now and I can say this has been the nicest place we have stayed at. The pictures are exactly like the place which we were so pleased about, the room its self is beautiful, comfortable beds, beautiful layout and decoration with the blessing of air con and a fan. They also supply mosquito nets, this was the first place we weren’t bitten once! As for the bathroom it’s wonderful, full of plants with an rainforest vibe. It’s all so clean and well stocked with a kettle, wardrobe, shelf’s and great mirrors. The attention to detail is amazing you can tell a lot of love and hard work has been put into this place. The lighting is lovely giving it a cosy feel. We had breakfast included and added on dinner for both nights as the food was too good! Cooked by the loveliest ladies who do everything they can to make sure you’re happy. So much selection for both breakfast and dinner really yummy and enjoyable. It’s the perfect place to relax but also seek adventure. We woke up early one morning to go for a run, the area is lovely everybody smiles and says hello. and the views are really beautiful with thriving nature. We went to an elephant orphanage near by, luckily they know people for transport etc and Leel suggested this activity for us, we didn’t know about this place prior our visit! But so glad we went it was amazing! Our second day was Safari day, we were delighted that Leel himself is one of the greatest safari tour drivers, so we set off early in the morning and embarked on our safari around Udawalawe. I know it will be one of my favourite memories we are really grateful for Leel and his dedication to make sure we had the best time and see as many beautiful animals as possible! The best stay of our 1 month trip to Sri Lanka. I highly recommend Amba Kola Udawalawe. We spent 3 days and never wanted to leave. Rooms and the common area are artistically designed. Super friendly host and excellent home cooked meals. Spotlessly clean rooms and peaceful surroundings. Do yourself a favour to stay at this beautiful property to make your trip to Udawalawe memorable. Special thanks to Amma to provide us an authentic Sri Lankan food and drinks. Perfect location close to national park, we almost didn't want to leave! Very clean, staff responsive and friendly. The pool is very clean, free parking. They even made me passion fruit juice from the fruits in their garden!

Room very clean and pretty. Nice place with a lot of flowers and spots to sit outside. Delicious breakfast. Parking available. Local SPA services near the hotel. Safari tour also amazing. The guide was perfect - tried hard to show us as many animals as possible and tell us interesting things about them. Seemd also a very nice person. Jeep very comfortable.

This is a brand new hotel. Everything is sparking clean, the pool is one of the nicest I’ve ever used. The room had a balcony and a view on a field so in the morning, we watched the peacocks walking around. We loved that the room had a view of this field, we were just in the middle of the nature. The hotel is very close to the National Park. The staff is really nice and kind. I really recommend the hotel, it was one of our best stays in Sri Lanka.

They have an exceptional rich breakfast. I stayed two nights here and it was super calm and peaceful. Luxury tent was amazing. good AC. bathrooms were clean and everything was there. beds were cozy. morning tea coffee in room were available with a mini freezer. I did a safari also from the hotel and the driver was perera who was an exceptional guide, he took us on unique roots in udawalawe. saw many animals. very friendly staff. parking available. Total value for money.
