I had an absolutely amazing experience here. The owner helped me on my way to Teldeniya from there I took a Tuktuk up in the hills. Solitary Cottage offers all you need: a quiet natural experience, birds and the sound of the wind. I managed to do some good hiking around without the need of a guide. The bungalow is well equipped and offers and fully equipped kitchen! Wifi works great. Make sure you order your food through the accommodation, it was close to the best authentic Sri Lankan food I ever tasted during my travels in Sri Lanka. I would definitely recommend this gorgeous place

.The hotel is located in the middle of the nature and rooms have amazing views. Also, they are very clean and everything you need will be at your disposal. However, the highlight is definitely the service since all the members of the staff are super nice and warm. We will also would like to thank Ravi for giving us the best time in the dining area. Food options are wide and very tasty, we had dinner twice in the hotel. Swimming pool area is super beautiful. Thank you so much for everything! We would definitely like to come back.

Everything was excellent! We all were so tired the night we reached there as we traveled the whole day. But as soon as we entered the house it sparked, refreshed our mind. Calm village with beautiful houses, rice paddies and small shops. The swimmingpool is big and good for swimming. The family is very friendly and helpful. The son helped me to get my dialog app, so I always have internet access. The father helped me get pick me app, so I easily can get a tuktuk to a local price. The family drives to Kandy city regularly, so I have been able to get a ride sometimes for free. It should also be easy to get to the city with bus. The breakfast is big and good. I got bread with butter and jam, fruit, pancakes with coconut sugar, omelet and tea. You can also choose local breakfast. I often had free lunch which was very tasty. I stayed for 10 days, because I liked that it was quiet, local, good food, swimmingpool, easy to get to the city, cheap and also a good workplace (I was working on a website). Remember to go to the local temple - it's like a hidden gem in the mountain. Ask the host😊

We loved this place. The facilities were perfectly clean and the bed was very confortable. You also have a living room with sofa. The breakfast and the dinner were very good quality meals and very tasty. The staff even served us early so that we could leave for the day, they were very friendly and answering our questions and requests. We felt very welcomed. The owner was not here himself at this moment, however he always made himself present during the whole stay by whatsapp and was able to answer all our questions. He is a wildlife photographer so feel free to ask him if you are also interested in spotting fauna!! You can rent a scooter to the homestay. Thanks to the owner recommandations, we went to Dotalugala to hike a bit, and the view to get there during the scooter ride was magnificent. In a sunny days you can see the mountains. Always propre a raincoat as the weather changes unexpectedly. If you are brave enough, you can drive 3h to visit the village of Meemure, at the end of that same road. Driving there is so beautiful that time flies. It is easy to come from Kandy, go to the bus station and ask for Wegala, the destination is usually Hunnasgiriya or further.
