The location and the property itself is outstanding. It’s located in a dense jungle area off the normal road but it’s magical once you get there. Hearing the waves crashing all day long along with the birds chirping is so soothing and serene. You literally feel like you’re in a rainforest. Everything about this stay was exeptional from the comfort of the room to the quality of the breakfast and the cleanliness was brilliant. This was topped off by having the perfect host/owner. Amazing garden with lovely host close to Rekawa beach where you can watch turtles during night. This is really a gem where you can hang out and swim in the pool, watch lots of birds in the garden and also in the area closeby. We had fantastic meals here and our host and his staff were so observant and kind giving us great advice during our stay. Rooms are large and great. Really cosy place!

We went to Kayaam House for part of our honeymoon to Sri Lanka. It was perfect! So gorgeous and serene. You're right on the beach - the beach is peaceful - there is no one on it and it stretches as far as you can see. When we were there, the waves were too big to swim but walking along the beach was still lovely. The pool is gorgeous! Perfect temperature and big. Loved it! The rooms are clean and fresh. Great having the smart TV too. Our room was facing the beach so we could hear the waves at night (sometimes they break quite loudly!) - so it was helpful that they supplied complimentary ear plugs. The food is great! And the staff are wonderful. They also host meditation and yoga classes in their outdoor hut by the pool every day - we did this and it was such a lovely way to start the day.

Very friendly owners couple. Owner capable of arranging turtle watching trips, tuktuk rides, etc. Able to provide truly excellent dinner with fresh seafood caught by himself earlier that day (unlike many other places claiming the same). Accommodation has a brilliant location, just a few minutes walk from bus station. Perhaps a bit spartan, but does the job, ideal for those traveling on shoestring. Excellent value!

Our stay at The Halcyon was amazing, the hotel is stunning and located on a such a beautiful unspoiled beach. My wife was not well when we first arrived and Zander (owner) and his staff when out of their way to make her feel comfortable. Breakfast was great, in fact all the food was spot on and the drink menu well thought out. We were there for the Sunday BBQ which was a real treat. We will be back 😀

Very close to the sea, can hear waves all night. Easy access to beautiful beach and beach restaurants within walking distance. Secure room with grilled windows so can be left open. Pool table and bar area, easy off road parking. Towels and toiletries supplied.

This place is the epitome of Sri Lankan hospitality and friendliness. In all of our travels we haven't experienced the same level of genuine care, interest and helpfulness. The room is spacious and in its own building. Hot water, fan, aircon and tea and coffee facilities. Parking our tuktuk was easy. It's a few minutes walk to Silent beach which is easily the nicest beach in Sri Lanka. We extended our stay here because we loved it so much. Would not hesitate to come back.

Meters away from the beach. Excellent car parking facilities. We ate at the hotel’s restaurant and it was really good. The stuff organized very quick laundry.
