This is a family owned and operated business away from the noise of the town, in a tranquil setting. Sanjeev and Lalith were very welcoming, and included us in their family and friends celebration of Sinhalese new year, which was exceptional. Room 3 was very large, and the bathroom spacious and just right. A perfect setting for respite close to nature. The meals were the best we've had in 12 days so far in Sri Lanka!

Staying here was wonderful. Nuwar's hospitality was truly extraordinary. We had many pleasant conversations with him and he was very careful and present everyday but always with great respect for privacy. He gave us lots of useful advice and constant small gestures of hospitality, as well as taking us on a beautiful tour of the surrounding farm area. He also arranged for us to go on a wonderful safari with an excellent guide. The hotel has a perfect location, close to Dambulla and just a few metres from the main road where you can easily catch a bus or tuk tuk. Clean rooms with great views of nature. Thank you Nuwar for making our trip even more magical.

I had an amazing stay! The place has such a peaceful vibe, surrounded by nature. The villa was clean and comfortable, and my favourite feature was the inner courtyard, which made me feel so connected to nature. The tree hut was the perfect nook for reading, and the staff even arranged one of our dinners there. We were also able to experience a well bath - such a one of a kind experience! The staff were incredibly attentive, always making sure everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and full of local flavours. Loved the soothing sound of birds in the morning. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Dambulla who’s looking for a relaxing and authentic Sri Lankan experience.

We had the pleasure of being some of the first guests at this wonderful retreat in Sri Lanka, and we absolutely loved it! The food was exceptional, with a great variety of fresh and delicious Sri Lankan dishes. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. We were also impressed by the attention to detail, including the information provided about the trees on the property, including their Latin names. The architecture was not only pleasing to the eye but also absolutely functional. Additionally, the manager went out of their way to ensure our well-being, as they complimentary called a doctor to check on me after I caught a cold during the train ride. We can't wait to return and experience the hospitality and beauty of this accommodation facility again!

We loved our stay here. The grounds were beautiful, our room was incredibly clean with a gorgeous balcony looking across the mango orchard, and the pool was absolutely lovely. The hotel is designed so that it’s very open to the outside, so you feel like you’re in the middle of nature. We loved the decorative touches, like the wall of masks and the display of colourful bangles behind the reception desk. The whole concept of the hotel, as a women-led enterprise, is unique. This was our first hotel in Sri Lanka and it was only later that we realised how unusual it is to have so many women in these roles. It gives the hotel a calming atmosphere as all of the staff were so kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived (and lit the ceremonial peacock oil lamp!). I didn’t try the spa but my mum booked a treatment and, although a bit pricey, she loved it. The buffet breakfast was delicious, with a lot of vegan and vegetarian choices, although the dinner menu was a bit limited for vegans. We stayed two nights and wished we’d booked another, as we were so comfortable here.
