This place is truly a honeyland. The drive to the hotel offer beautiful views (see photo attached). We were met with great hospitality and kindness. The family was very welcoming, and their presence created a comfortable and homie atmosphere. The breakfast and dinner was great. Our room was in a new building on the property (see second photo below). It was big and luxurious, and exceeded our expectations. I would like to thank the Honeyland family again for our stay, and their kindness.

I had an amazing stay! The place has such a peaceful vibe, surrounded by nature. The villa was clean and comfortable, and my favourite feature was the inner courtyard, which made me feel so connected to nature. The tree hut was the perfect nook for reading, and the staff even arranged one of our dinners there. We were also able to experience a well bath - such a one of a kind experience! The staff were incredibly attentive, always making sure everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and full of local flavours. Loved the soothing sound of birds in the morning. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Dambulla who’s looking for a relaxing and authentic Sri Lankan experience.

From the very first moment, we felt right at home. The hosts were incredibly caring and kind, making us feel like part of their family. Their warm welcome and continuous attentiveness made our stay truly special. One highlight was definitely the tour with the host (Rabi) to see the lorises. These fascinating creatures, which are hardly seen anywhere else in the world, left us completely enchanted. It was a wonderful experience that we highly recommend. Thank you for this unforgettable time – we will definitely be coming back!

The place was just so beautiful. The view was very nice. The room with the big window and a very nice detailed bathroom. Wow. We really loved the very clean room, with all the small details. The host has a good eye for details, even his own logo in some of the woodenstuff. The bed was a dream and everything there was so new. We loved the sounds of the nature. Totally local. But still It was not far from Dambulla (cave temple). The host was so nice and friendly. We talked a lot, had fun and he was very helpful. The food was also delicious and typical Sri lankan. So we tasted a lot of different vegetables, some we did not knew before. And the best, everything was from his farm. So fresh, so yummie. It was one of our best homestays and we would go there again and again.

We stayed two nights at Villa Mankani, it was amazing! The house we had was huge and modern, the bathroom was really nice and it was very clean. Most of the time we were alone and it was so quiet and relaxing. We also ate breakfast and dinner there - both were very delicious. The staff arranged tuk-tuks for us and even organized a trip to see the sunrise at Pidurangala. The location is great too: the Cave Temple and the town center are only about 10 minutes away. Thanks so much for everything – we loved this place and would definitely come again. It was magical!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel completely at home. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make our stay special — always kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. Traveling as a family, we especially appreciated how thoughtful and accommodating everyone was. The atmosphere was serene and inviting, and every detail seemed designed to ensure comfort and relaxation. Our room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly cozy. The common areas were equally lovely — ideal for both moments of peace and time together as a family. Whether it was a kind gesture at breakfast or a friendly chat at reception, we felt seen, valued, and cared for, especially my 15 months old daughter! This was more than just a stay; it was an experience of true hospitality. We left with full hearts and wonderful memories. We can’t wait to come back — thank you for everything!
