This place is a perfect hub for Nanuoya and surrounding area. There is a waterfall close by and you live in the tea fields. You are close to the train and there are multiple viewpoints to look if that interests you. The family is extremely nice and we enjoyed every interaction and tea cup. We had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly kind and helpful. He arranged tuktuks for our longer rides at a good price, which made everything so much easier. We enjoyed breakfast and had also dinner at a very good price. One morning, when we left for a hike very early, he even prepared a breakfast to go, which was such a thoughtful gesture. His whole family is truly lovely and welcoming.

Everything was literally perfect about this place. When we came Suresh and his staff welcomed us with open arms and immediately took care of our luggage where you don’t see everywhere. We got to have a conversation with Suresh himself for 1.5 hours about him and his life and to say the least he was one of the most interesting people we have ever met and I mean that in a good way. His way of thinking is extraordinary and he got a beautiful vision of what life is. Our needs and questions was taken care of as quickly and Suresh and his staff could and they even washed our clothes. Me and my girlfriends best stay in Sri Lanka without a doubt. Next time we’re going to Sri Lanka we are coming back here.

Staying here felt like visiting a close friend rather than just booking accommodation. Madu’s warmth and kindness made our trip unforgettable. The villa was beautifully maintained, and when the evenings got cold, he immediately brought us a heater to keep us comfortable. He was always there to answer any questions and went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. His recommendations for places to visit were spot on – each one turned out to be 10/10. It’s rare to meet a host who puts so much heart into everything, and we’re so grateful for the experience.
