The hotel is amazing, the decoration,, pool, and the staff if so friendly, installations are perfect, seeing monkeys playing in the trees across the road, the breakfast is divine! Especially the fruit juices and the yogurt with muesli etc. Also have a very good value laundry service. Location is great, a little out of town but only 5 minutes in tuktuk to the ford. We did the early morning boat tour as well 100% recommended !

Such an amazing view from the shared terrace, with the ocean just a few meters away. The room was very clean and the host family were nice and helpful. It was hard to believe the peacefulness in the garden given the busy central street behind the property. Would definitely stay here again.

Place was perfect—super clean, cozy, and had a big bed with a great bathroom. The room had AC and was very comfortable. Ajith is an outstanding, friendly host who made us feel right at home. The breakfast was awesome, with lots of options. I highly recommend Tide’s Tale to anyone visiting Galle and can’t wait to return for another experience. This is the place where you want to stay while visiting Sri Lanka. You spending your holiday in the history of this country. A spice traders house built in 1860 and completely renovated recently with lots of taste. The rooms, the living and dining areas, garden with the pool, everything is so beautiful and it feels it’s your own private home. Also breakfast and dinner was amazing and very tasty. The manager and all the staff are extremely helpful and super friendly. As it’s just a bit outside of Galle Fort, it’s super calm. But only a short stroll to reach the harbour with the local fisherman and the old town by foot. If not, a Tuk Tuk ride takes 5 minutes. Everything was just perfect.
