First of all, the way to get there already starts the feeling of adventure. A 4×4 vehicle picks you up for an off-road experience. When you arrive an intimate and dedicated staff greets you, the hotel manager welcomes you and explains everything that awaits you while the rest make sure your luggage reaches your tent. The tent has a private toilet and shower with hot water all the time. And their hiking trails are just crazy! The guide who joins you is dedicated and full of knowledge and will take you to magical and stunning places!

Getting there by private car was a challenge, google maps is simply not accurate. Best way is to contact resort before. The team is outstanding, booked only a day before and they managed to make us feel at home. Will come back for sure

We had the most incredible stay at Lemon Grass Villa! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was absolutely unmatched. A special thank you to Andrew, the General Manager, whose warm and attentive demeanor made us feel right at home. Ravi and the rest of the staff were outstanding, always going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food, which was hands down the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka! Compliments to the chef for curating such exceptional dishes that left us speechless every single meal. The villa itself was beyond stunning—spacious, luxurious, and offering breathtaking views that made our 2-night stay unforgettable. Waking up to those views was an experience in itself. Literally everything about the place is on spot, starting with the great location were you will realise later that every view your eyes will catch is a breathtaking.. all day every day!! We loved this place. The facilities were perfectly clean and the bed was very confortable. You also have a living room with sofa. The breakfast and the dinner were very good quality meals and very tasty. The staff even served us early so that we could leave for the day, they were very friendly and answering our questions and requests. We felt very welcomed. The owner was not here himself at this moment, however he always made himself present during the whole stay by whatsapp and was able to answer all our questions. He is a wildlife photographer so feel free to ask him if you are also interested in spotting fauna!! You can rent a scooter to the homestay. Thanks to the owner recommandations, we went to Dotalugala to hike a bit, and the view to get there during the scooter ride was magnificent. In a sunny days you can see the mountains. Always propre a raincoat as the weather changes unexpectedly. If you are brave enough, you can drive 3h to visit the village of Meemure, at the end of that same road. Driving there is so beautiful that time flies. It is easy to come from Kandy, go to the bus station and ask for Wegala, the destination is usually Hunnasgiriya or further.
