I had the good fortune being the first to stay in the new MyStay Homestay. She is now located at Peradeniya, close to the Royal Botanic Gardens and Kandy which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Due to the new location, MyStay Homestay is in the central part of Sri Lanka, with all major attractions within easy reach. 😍 Understand that the owner Prashan shall be updating the website and pics shortly. The new MyStay Homestay is set on top on a mountain. All 3 guest rooms, living room, dining room and sitting room have a panoramic view of a green valley and the mountain ranges beyond. The view is ever changing with the passing clouds, revealing beauty that is never repeated. On most days, one may see Ambuluwawa Tower, and Adam’s Peak too in the distance. Gal Bungalow, another attraction is about a 10 minutes walk. The neighbourhood is peaceful with few houses, and beautiful. The Mahakanda bus station is nearby. The train station is also quite nearby. During the stay, Prashan brought me around to see some sights in his own comfortable 4WD car at very reasonable rates. I would like to commend that he is trustworthy and a safe driver, a great organiser and knows where to find good food. 😋 My room was very nice and comfortable. It is big, maybe about 30m2. The room is tastefully decorated and there is a balcony. (Please see pic.) I kept the French window opened as I love the fresh cool air. 😍 Breakfast at Mystay was delicious. Love the soft coconut pancakes, the coconut roti and sambal. 😍 Lunch and dinner can also be arranged. I can see that Mystay has her own organic vegetables and fruits garden. 😍

Probably the best place I’ve experienced in Sri Lanka . Modern and yet with a traditional feel like no other. It’s wooden structure and design was such that it was a joy to behold ,enhanced by the gracious host for which nothing was too much trouble.

Our stay at Peacock was amazing. The view from the restaurant was directly at the elephants, it was a very nice experience. The stuff is very friendly and helpful, they also helped us to arrange a taxi to our next destination and drove us free with their tuktuk.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Green Agras Leisure and would highly recommend it. The accommodation was absolutely beautiful – with breathtaking views, a stunning pool, and impressive architecture. The food was always freshly prepared and offered a wide variety of dishes. The entire service team was extremely friendly, warm, and fun. After just a few days, it felt very personal, as if we were among friends. We also joined a cooking class, which was a fantastic experience with delicious food and very kind instructors. In addition, I enjoyed a massage, which was excellent as well. All in all, this place is highly recommendable, and we would definitely love to come back!

We stayed 1 night at the cloud, the views were absolutely amazing inside the room and outside of the room. The owner was very attentive even before we arrived at the cloud, really spent his time engaging with you about the surroundings, the resort and the spices and tea in the area. He couldn’t have done enough for you. Always at the end of the phone and even when we had left he wanted to know if we had reached our next destination safely due to the weather conditions and still was available if we needed anything. We had dinner in the room which was a traditional Sri Lankan dinner which was very yummy. We had a little family of lizards in the room which was equally lovely to hear them, could see bats flying outside catching the flies which was nice to watch. In the morning we were greeted by a gang of monkeys which was funny to watch and get some great pictures as they come up to the windows.

Easily the best place we have stayed during our time in Sri Lanka . From the moment we arrived , everything was absolutely perfect . The Villa is set in an idyllic location surrounded by incredible scenery and the rooms are incredibly well appointed and spotlessly clean. The Pool area is immaculate and is a setting like no other . The location is also ideal if you’re heading to Pinawala Elephant orphanage as it’s just 5 min away by tuk-tuk. Additionally , the food here is some of yhr best we’ve had, served professionally and with care and every meal was delicious . We already can’t wait to return next year! .

We booked Tea Heritage after seeing how beautiful the property looked online and how reasonably priced it was, and it exceeded our expectations from the very beginning. Communication with the host was excellent even before we arrived. We had a few specific requests, especially around my partner’s dietary needs, and the host was more than happy to accommodate everything. They were flexible, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay exactly how we wanted it. The food was a major highlight. We were served delicious home-cooked meals with a great variety of dishes tailored to our preferences, even accommodating last-minute requests without any hesitation. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The property itself is spacious, private, and incredibly serene. It felt like a true escape into nature, surrounded by misty hills and peaceful views. We love outdoor experiences, and being offered a visit to a nearby organic farm was a wonderful bonus and one of the most memorable parts of our stay. We were also surprised with a candlelit dinner to celebrate our special occasion, which made our engagement even more magical. It was the perfect setting, and we genuinely could not have asked for a better place for such an important moment in our lives. A special mention to Palitha, who took great care of us throughout our stay, and to Dinu, the co-host and chef, who always made sure we were comfortable, well-fed, and well looked after, and not to Forget Thilina, the other co-host who was always available on the phone to coordinate everything. Their hospitality made a big difference. Amazing privacy, stunning views, a beautiful location, and heartfelt service. We absolutely loved our stay and are already looking forward to visiting again.

What an amazing place! Everything was superb. From the incredible staff who anticipated my every need, to the delicious food and the variety of activities in the area.
