The whole experience was impressive and after having stayed in many hotels in Sri Lanka, this is definitely one if the best. The sounds of the rainforest at night and the lake view in the morning amplified the experience. Staff was very helpful and gave great guidance beyond the cliches.

Eden kandy was the last and also the best hostel I stayed and honestly, it was fantastic. The whole place was super clean—whether it was the lobby, the rooms, or the lovely courtyard where you could lounge on chairs and just relax. They even had some monkeys occasionally wandering around the yard, which was pretty fun to see! The manager was incredibly friendly and helpful, always trying to assist with anything guests needed. They provided free filtered drinking water, as well as complimentary tea, coffee, and Nescafé in the kitchen, which was fully equipped and even had a kettle so you could make hot water whenever you wanted. Out of the four hostels I stayed at during my week in Sri Lanka, this one was the best. The price was very reasonable, the room’s cooler and fan worked perfectly, and overall it was just an excellent experience. I’d absolutely recommend it and would definitely stay there again if I come back to Sri Lanka.

We stayed at the Arambhaya Boutique Hotel for two nights and had a wonderful stay. The room was very spacious with a lot of attention to detail, the hotel was very clean and modern, quiet with a beautiful garden. The hospitality, friendliness and service of the staff was outstanding and the best we ever experienced in a hotel.

Someone on here described this place as a piece of heaven and that pretty much sums it up (and I'm not a religious man). I ended up extending my reservation for an extra night as I couldn't miss the chance to stay another day. I requested the room furthest down the hill and, yes, there are stairs to get down there (not that many really), but how else would one expect to get down a hill? 🧐 This also meant the cabin felt secluded and the view had an uninterrupted jungle-y vibe. Both mornings I sat on my balcony as a baby monkey scrambled and launched wildly towards birds high in the treetops - its family just lounged unbothered as the sun peered over the smokey mountains - no helicopter parenting in the monkey world! The pool is stunning (rooms up here would have a similarly stunning view). I swam each morning and again in the afternoon upon my return after a day of exploring Kandy. Don't let the distance to central Kandy throw you off - Tuk Tuks are super fun and there's so much on the journey to stimulate the senses (dodging bigass cattle and the like) and you won't be needing to back-and-forth to town regardless. Staff were super kind and accomodating and the curry for dinner and egg hoppers for brekkie were the real deal. How's the rest of my trip going to match this? Would stay again no question.

We simply enjoyed our stay here. This is a top hotel with all the amenities you could wish for. We enjoyed an excellent dinner and breakfast buffet here. The rooftop pool and bar are beautiful. The gym was excellent. The staff is super friendly and attentive. We can highly recommend this hotel.

First of all we liked the amazing view, doesnt matter if you are on the balcony, look out of the windows of your room or from the 360 Grad view roof top terrace, you will have a amazing view everywhere. You can see the mountains, the city, diffrent temples and the beautiful nature. Second thing we liked very much, was the food, for fair prices. So we had a high quality dinner and large portions on the roof top, cocked by the host. We liked it so much, so my girlfriend tooked a cocking lesson the next day by the host. She enjoyed it a lot. Specially the host is very friendly, makes you feeling like you are at home and helped us with everything we needed. He is happy if his guest are happy. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The guestroom is located in the families green garden and has a lot of space, even with a little are in the „second level“. We felt very welcome by the whole family from the first second on. As the house is located on a mountain hill, it was a bit tricky to get there, however, Sudesh organized it perfectly. The room is spacious, clean and had everything that was promised in the booking. The queen sized bed was super comfy and we had a good night rest despite the heavy rain that night. The breakfast was the best we had so far on our trip through Sri Lanka and we were even asked for any preferences on what to get & when to get it. Totally recommend!!
