The hotel is amazing, the decoration,, pool, and the staff if so friendly, installations are perfect, seeing monkeys playing in the trees across the road, the breakfast is divine! Especially the fruit juices and the yogurt with muesli etc. Also have a very good value laundry service. Location is great, a little out of town but only 5 minutes in tuktuk to the ford. We did the early morning boat tour as well 100% recommended !

Such an amazing view from the shared terrace, with the ocean just a few meters away. The room was very clean and the host family were nice and helpful. It was hard to believe the peacefulness in the garden given the busy central street behind the property. Would definitely stay here again.

Place was perfect—super clean, cozy, and had a big bed with a great bathroom. The room had AC and was very comfortable. Ajith is an outstanding, friendly host who made us feel right at home. The breakfast was awesome, with lots of options. I highly recommend Tide’s Tale to anyone visiting Galle and can’t wait to return for another experience. This is the place where you want to stay while visiting Sri Lanka. You spending your holiday in the history of this country. A spice traders house built in 1860 and completely renovated recently with lots of taste. The rooms, the living and dining areas, garden with the pool, everything is so beautiful and it feels it’s your own private home. Also breakfast and dinner was amazing and very tasty. The manager and all the staff are extremely helpful and super friendly. As it’s just a bit outside of Galle Fort, it’s super calm. But only a short stroll to reach the harbour with the local fisherman and the old town by foot. If not, a Tuk Tuk ride takes 5 minutes. Everything was just perfect.

Urban Galle Villa is undeniably one of the best accommodations I have ever been in Sri Lanka, and surely the best one in Galle. It‘s owned by a very kind family, and you feel immediately like home there! Everything was squeaky clean, and the breakfast delicious! We stayed 3 nights before heading for our last day to Colombo, and it was the best decision we could ever make. Thank you for your hospitality! Until the next time!

We had a really wonderful stay at Silver Rail. The room was very big and very comfortable. The family who runs it was so welcoming, they offered us tea and a delicious breakfast. They even showed us how to make the pancakes we loved so that we can try to make them at home later 😋The location was good, we could walk to the Fort everyday. Beautiful hotel interior. All staff are very friendly and always smiling. It was nice that there was beach access. The attentiveness of the staff is what really made it stand out like contacting us before we arrived to ensure we were all set and they helped organise our activities.
