We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Golden Crown Hotel in Ampitiya and was blown away by the exceptional service provided by the General Manager and his team. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests - truly commendable. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful views and immaculate facilities, but it was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the General Manager that truly made my stay memorable. His professionalism and dedication to providing top-notch service is a true asset to the hotel. I would highly recommend the Golden Crown Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Kandy. Thank you to the General Manager and his team for an unforgettable experience.

An incredible view and a staff to match! The hotel may seem a bit austere at first, with a few small shortcomings (for example, a reading lamp by each bed would be nice), but nothing essential. The staff and service are excellent, and the manager is very involved — he asks for feedback every day and genuinely cares about guests’ comfort. Although the hotel is a little farther from the city, the distance is more than compensated by the stunning view, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend Madu’s cooking! He’s an excellent chef — the beef is delicious (even if it’s not Argentinian), and the soup, his specialty, is outstanding. I doubt I’ll ever return to Kandy, but if I do, this is definitely where I’ll stay again.

The view from the hotel is amazing. It's very nice to relax at the pool or the balcony of your room. The rooms itself are also great, they are spacious and look nice. The staff is very helpful and available all the time. It's a nice place to be away from the crowded city center and with a tuktuk you easily visit the center. When you walk for 15-20 minutes downhill you will find a supermarket, bakery and other different stores.

The place is amazing in every single way. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Outstanding views and very quiet area, just 15 mins away from the city centre by tuk tuk. The cottage was cozy, surrounded by serene greenery. Facilities were good. The host was super helpful. We were delayed but the host drove us and helped us get to the Kandy cultural show on time, despite the very heavy traffic. Breakfast was also delicious.

My sister and I had an amazing stay here! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The room was just as shown in the pictures—clean, spacious, and with a spotless, well-maintained bathroom. Everything we needed was there. The host/owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help. Such a caring soul! One of our favourite parts was the view—waking up to the magical lake view every morning was unforgettable. Since the property is slightly outside Kandy town, it was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. We absolutely loved our time here and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy!
