As a contributor to National Geographic CS and VOGUE Travel, I have travelled the world extensively, but nowhere have I encountered such hospitality and travel comfort as in this authentic home stay lounge. Ambalangoda and its surrounding areas are well worth exploring for couple days on their own, and this accommodation serves as the perfect base for both discovery and relaxation.

Very friendly and kind hosts. On my arrival, they picked me up from the train station though the room is in walking distance from the station. The room is spacious, new, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Walking distance from the main street with all the bustling city life nevertheless the room is very quite. Only a couple of minutes walking from the beach where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. Gaindu proposed many places to visit but unfortunately due to lack of time I didn't. Ambalangoda ended up to be one of the best places I visited in Sri Lanka and Sudu Colonial was one of the best places I stayed. Until my next visit I would highly recommend it.

It is very nice designer accomodation, completely new, well equipped, close to see. There is also a fridge, a washing maschine and great and beautiful kitchen with all you need also for long-term stay, good wifi. Calm place with a nice terrace, good also for families. The host is really great and always helpful, he helps you with everything. The host's wife cooks typical Sri Lankan cuisine wonderfully. Do not forget to try it. The place is great for relax. Overall, we really liked the accommodation and we can recommend it definitely. Great for everybody for relaxation and a break from the daily hustle and bustle.
