A wonderful relaxing quiet stay in this beautiful room with balcony & hammock on the rivers edge and glorious sunset views. A very welcoming and relaxed family run guesthouse and restaurant, food so fresh and delicious! Recommend a slow walk around Don Det taking in the river scenes/locals at work and coffee stops and definitely hiring a bike (available at guesthouse)to explore the neighbouring islands and the waterfalls. Highly recommend this accommodation.

This was the best stay I’ve had while traveling down through Laos from Luang Prabang. Totally recommend it to everyone! Alex and Leymon are super friendly. they even helped arrange a ride to Don Det and were quick to reply to messages before I arrived. Especially, Leymon’s Asian food was amazing, honestly as good as what I’ve had in the actual countries. Can’t wait to try it again! Between meals we played cards, chatted, and hung out with their dogs and cats—such a chill vibe. The room was clean and comfy, with a soft bed, towels, and shampoo. The shower has an open ceiling, so you might notice it when it rains, but it didn’t bother me at all. Loved the whole experience!

Mama pieng was so lovely! I love her and would definitely come back here just to see her. The room was good. There's also a restaurant which is good although a bit expensive. Location was perfect, a bit outside of the main city on Dondet. We rented bikes which were not in the best conditions but worked perfectly for the day.
