Everything from the location to the palatial size of the room to the tattoo friendly onsen, too bad I wasn't aware of an evening meal served there. The owners are the real treasure there, I wouldn't think twice about recommending this place to anyone interested in visiting Matsushima.

Perfect location within close proximity to the station, food options all around. The room was luxurious. The hotel's photos don't really do it much justice! It looks and feels way better than some brand name five star hotels I've been in.

The location was excellent. Very close to the main sights and train stations. The host was very sociable and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. We had a lovely evening chatting to him and other guests and he recommended a local bakery and cafe which were both superb. He also arranged transport to the station on departure (too much luggage!).

Loved this Ryokan beautiful location overlooking the bay. Several onsen to choose from and excellent Japanese food. The tatami room was beautiful very relaxing stay.
