This ryokan style hotel was one of our best experiences in Japan. The views over the islands of Matsushima were superb - truly one of the 3 great views of Japan! Our room overlooked the famous Fukuurabashi bridge through a picturesque screen of the twisted pine trees that make this view so iconic. The kaiseki style meals were superb - delicious and beautifully presented. Each dish was a delight of discovery, awe and wonder. We enjoyed a private onsen bath with sunset views and also visited each of the other public baths over the next day. The views over the bay are simply stunning.

I had a very positive experience during my stay at this hotel. The service was excellent—every staff member I interacted with was attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to making guests feel welcome. For what it offers, the hotel also provides great value for money, making it an appealing option for travelers looking for comfort without overspending. One of the highlights of the stay was the ability to enjoy the resort facilities located next to the hotel. Being able to access these additional amenities added a lot to the overall experience and made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, the combination of great service, excellent cost-benefit, and the bonus of resort access makes this hotel a fantastic choice. I would happily stay again.
