We stayed for 5 nights with 2 kids aged 3 and 7 months. It's our 3rd Ryokan tgis trip and definitely the vest one we had. The service was amazing and well deserved every credit, the staff is super friendly and helpful. They always helped and tried to accommodate for our 3 year old. We even had a live flute concert in one of the evenings. The dinner and breakfast best we had, amazing! Everything was super fresh, special and delicious. The private Onsens are also a big plus, they are well maintained, beautiful and comfortable. Location is excellent for all attractions around the area. Highly recommended, would leave more rating if was possible, thank you so much!.

I love this place--and I can't remember the last time I wrote that on a booking.com review. Brand new wooden cabins squeezed in a tight valley in the middle of the woods, next to a little stream of water. The lodges owner lives in a cabin next door, warm welcome and always willing to help. The cabin was squeaky clean, had everything I could desire and even more (a piano!). The private onsen is a few steps away from the cabin, if you want something more social there's plenty of public onsens around (one down the road has a view on the river). Quiet, fresh air, plenty of hikes a short drive away. I stayed in the middle of winter, heating and thermal insulations were on point.

The cottage was well maintained and very cosily decorated. It was complete with all the amenities you could need. The private indoor and outdoor onsens were amazing for us to enjoy together as a family, especially as we have tattoos. The bed was comfortable and the kids loved sleeping in the loft upstairs.

The staff were super accommodating and friendly. The Onsen were amazing and many to chose from. If you arrive by bus it’s good to contact for a pick up as it’s a bit of a distance from kurokawa village.
