The rooms are really modern and well designed. The TV screen is big and if you bring a Chromecast (Android TV) you'll find a HDMI cable where you can connect it to the TV easily. There is a fridge and lots of useful accessoires. The room is perfectly insulated and calm (except the bathroom fan). The location of the hotel is surrounded with lots of nice restaurants, supermarkets, the big Nishiki market, Gear theater etc. The next subway station is 10 minutes away. The beds are really comfortable with 2 different pillows. The staff is very friendly and they gave you an umbrella when it rains. The cafe that belongs to the Hotel has a really good vegan burger and you can also order vegan breakfast. There was only a problem because even tho it said vegan breakfast on the hotel website, they askes us to pay extra for the soy milk for the coffee. Because this was very confusing to us and didn't feel right, we've discussed this with the hotel reception. In the end the matter was handles very professionally by the Hotel and the Cafe. They understood that this doesn't make sense and took over our feedback immediately.

We had a great experience here - the hotel is located right next to the park and offers beautiful views from the balcony and the rooftop terrasse. The staff was thoughtful and all of the collaborations with local companies to provide additional drinks and snacks were such a lovely surprise. The room was super spacious and clean and the area around the hotel was calm, but dotted with little restaurants and cafes. Super stay!

Spotlessly clean, comfortable room. Very spacious, especially by Japanese standards. Friendly staff who speaks English. Easy access to subway and Kinsetsu lines (only a few stops from Kyoto Station). There was English manual on how to use all the equipment (washing machine etc.) in the room, which was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Kyoto.

We liked everything, except the hotel didn’t have a charger for an EV vehicle. In this modern day world you would expect a modern hotel to have EV charging stations. 12 o’clock check out was perfect I must add. That extra hour gives the guest a little more time to do shopping and check more things off the to-do-list.

I can't even begin to describe how wonderful our stay was. We had a long day of hiking in the pouring rain which just kept on coming. Once we got to our room, we decided we're not going anywhere after a change of clothes (to the robes we had in our room). It was a lovely realization that we could book massages, enjoy the Japanese spa and have dinner under one roof. So we just did all that. Everything was perfect: The spa was magical, I sat there in the steaming hot outdoor bath alone while the rain is pouring and just closed my eyes thinking I'm in heaven... the massage was one of the best we've ever experienced, it was done while fully clothed so without the oily feeling after! And the dinner.. One of the best ones we had during our entire 3-city trip. We had to wait a bit and the kitchen was closing but they managed to fit us in just before the closing and we were so happy and content with the entire experience. Finally, our room was a very traditional one, futons on the tatami and a little table with a tea set and a sweet treat which was a great addition to the experience.
