the location was perfect! it was a walk away from the okunion cemetery. the food was delicious. the staff were very friendly and accommodating. i had a spectacular view of the garden. all the amenitities were close by. the morning service and goma ritual were the highlights!

Dinner had so many vegan dishes and they were delicious. Breakfast was smaller but still filling. It won't be a western breakfast. The futon ended up being comfy and warm but the halls were cold in the morning. I suggest arriving at the start of check in to take full advantage of everything there is (enjoying the pond, onsen, tea in room while reading the info on ceremonies). Location was great for the big 3 sites, if you don't mind walk 20 minutes in either direction.

Wonderful experience. Go here to expect calm and respect, you will be the guest of a Buddhist temple. Food is served in your room and truly excellent. Rooms are traditional Japanese style, and all you need is there. For us it's less comfortable as we not used to this and around 60 - but that is absolutely NO critique, just a remark to explain what to expect. Strongly recommend to attend the morning prayers - but please, please, please be respectful and silent, come on time, and respect the (few!) rules: this is not a tourist attraction, you are the guest to an intimate "meeting" as it were. Guests from all over the world are welcome, more than welcome, but guests also need to learn to be respectful and behave. And this does not just go for a temple, but for any place where you are welcomed as a guest. (Yes, some folks misbehaved, alas.) We stayed 2 nights as to have a little more time leave behind the busy lives of modern culture. That worked well for us. Your choice of course. If you come with kids, and explain enough to them, it's well worth it for them too - but maybe stay only one night then.

Peaceful. Beautiful temple. Good vibe. Very clean. We had a traditional room, it was nice and spacious. We had to share bath toilet and so on.... but no problem, all very clean and nice. Not a big deal for 1 night. Diner and breakfast included: Traditional Japanees (offcourse). Parking in front of temple.

Very good located, close to the cemetery. Very friendly stuff , the onsen is very nice - the morning zeromony was in parts translated into English. They really were open minded and helpful. Parking was not charged extra.

It was a very authentic stay and beautiful place. The staff were very polite and helpful. The food was plentiful, unique and very tasty. There was parking provided to the side of the accommodation and slippers and umbrellas were kindly provided. The temple was opposite the famous Konpon Daito and most places were in walking distance.

The family room is amazing - very big with its own bathroom and couch area - including a fridge and hot/cold water dispenser The guesthouse is very modern and comfortable The restaurant’s food was delicious Friendly staff and owners :) Also nicely located, between the big complex and Daimon, and close to the konbini Lots of parking space in at the corner of the street
