This property and gardens are just as beautiful as the pictures. Quiet, rural location (car recommended). Easy communication with owner, he and his wife were very welcoming and keen to help in any way possible. Highly recommend if you’re travelling around Japan by car and want a few days chilling in vineyard area, with easy access to see Mt Fuji, do hikes, visit waterfalls etc. Perfect for a family with teens as you have the whole place, plenty of space. Nice extra touches such as the loan of kimono to take photos on garden. And the eggs from the farm shop are yummy!

The hostess was incredibly sweet! She picked me up and dropped me off at the train station all the days I was there, as well as helping me figure out an itinerary, where to go and what to do. She helped me figure out what buses to take and gave great suggestions for what to do in the area. The breakfast she makes is incredible! She also made me tea several times a day and warmed up the bathtub when I needed a shower. I felt so taken care of and comfortable. Though the location is a little remote, this was exactly what I wanted. There were very few tourists, only a few locals who had travelled there to hike. The city is very cute and peaceful, and the scenery is amazing!! If the sky is clear you can even see mt. Fuji from the upper floor! It was such a great place to relax and unwind, as well as experience the lovely Japanese mountains. My only regret is that I didn’t spend another night or two😅

We loved everything. It felt like a real authentic Japanese experience. The tea ceremony was fascinating and in depth in comparison to others we saw in Japan, like a lesson in tea ceremonies and how to do everything traditionally. Our room was so cute and cosy, we had the best sleep of our lives on the futon beds, loved it. The meditation practice was an amazing experience in their secret garden. The food was a highlight, I was unsure at first as it’s very different to western food but we loved every single thing that was served and enjoyed trying so many new foods. The guesthouse host and the monk that looked after us were welcoming and friendly. It was only us and one other couple in the guesthouse, so we all sat around the dinner table in the evening drinking tea and chatting. 100% worth the money and would recommend doing this over a lot of other experiences we tried. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.

We had a wonderful night in Yamanashi prefecture. We booked the hotel as it was our anniversary and we were visiting some vineyards in the area. Being from the UK we did not know what to expect and the view from the hotel terrace of Mount Fuji blew us away. The amazing staff, who were just the most friendly of our 3 week trip, showed us to our room and we had been upgraded to a suite. It was by far the biggest hotel room we have ever stayed in and absolutely huge for a Japanese hotel. The best part was that we got a perfect view of Mount Fuji from our bedroom. A spectacular treat. We ate in the hotel and had a set Japanese meal which was delicious. We practiced our Japanese as all the staff spoke little to no English, but they tried so hard to help us and were amazing. The next morning we had a nice breakfast while watching a film crew make a movie on the terrace. An added bonus. We wished we could have stayed longer and our amazing reception lady even helped us to our car with our massive suitcases. The stay really exemplified Japanese warmth and hospitality. I wish I had taken names so I could mention them personally. We were made to feel so special and it was explained to us that not many British tourists visit them and the region. I can tell you that everyone should explore beyond the main cities, as the wine is great, the countryside splendid and the Fuji views (if you're lucky like we were and got a sunny day) were breathtaking. A true highlight of our trip. Thank you everyone.

The house is in a beautiful location with stunning views of Mt. Fuji. It’s surrounded by vineyards, very peaceful and quiet. Inside, everything is spotless and well arranged, with a spacious kitchen that has all the essentials. The cookware and tableware are complete and nicely matched, everything chosen with great taste. The hosts are truly welcoming — they even invited us to join the grape harvest and gave us a generous gift of grapes. They also recommended a wonderful onsen and local sights. We’re very happy we chose this house for our stay and would love to come back again.
