The most amazing location - it's in the middle of the woods and next to a river - the location is simply amazing! Wish we stayed there longer. The smell of the pine trees, the forest and the river is probably the highlight of the stay. The location is very peaceful and you can see the stars properly if you go for a night walk. Well equipped - small kitchen with all you need for cooking, fridge, TV. Short drive to Tairyuji Ropeway

The place is beautifully decorated and at the same time super comfortable. Very spacious kitchen with everything you need if you want to cook. Lovely terrace to hang out (and also to easily hang up washed clothes), looking at the 23rd temple Yakuoji, which is lit up at night. Staff very welcoming and space to park bicycles. Super.comfy bed. It is a great place and town to stay for more than a day to have a rest. There is an onsen (faster by bicycle) with the pool in front of the ocean and they serve pretty good food (sashimi included!) and accept cards. There is a natural arch to visit next to this onsen and the town itself is really lovely, it had a special vibe, with the traditional houses and the culture regarding the seaturtles that go to lay eggs. Loved the exhibition of the cyclist couple that is put in the living room.

Relatively close to the ropeway of temple 21, Tairyūji. Give a marvellous rest of a day of walking. And the dinner and the breakfast are really good as well.

The host was exceptionally friendly and his place was beautiful decorated with the best futon and soft floor. And as an extra, he speaks very good English which makes everything so much easier. I can’t recommend this place enough

My one night stay at Kanchentai - tiny house was amazing! The host had prepared everything for my arrival. The tiny house is equipped with everything you need for cooking and dining. You have a beautiful outdoor deck and dining table to enjoy the warmer weather. The bed was so comfy, and there is Alexa, a bluetooth speaker and projector for entertainment. Free wifi was great and I was able to get some work done. You have access to the vegetable garden if you need and the host gave me some great advice for exploring hiwasa. I was also able to use the Parking which was very handy as I was on a roadtrip. Overall a beautiful, delightful stay. I was pleasantly surprised.

Fabulous hotel in the countryside by a river. There's nothing much around it, but everything you need is inside - restaurant, shop, vending machines, and of course, the onsen. Our room was large, with a view over the river. The restaurant had many options for dinner and was inexpensive, and the food was delicious. The included breakfast was also great.

Very good accommodation. Clean and tidy, and quiet. The receptionist was very nice and professional. I stayed here during the Shikoku Henro pilgrimage. I highly recommend it.
