We stayed 2 nights at Guesthouse Takiyoshi but wished we stayed longer. The hosts are a hardworking young family and will help you in any way possible to make sure you enjoy your stay. The room we stayed in was a traditional japanese room and very clean. Though there are shared facilities (including the traditional onsen), it was always kept clean and there were more than enough facilities for everyone (we stayed on a night it was full but never had to wait and it always felt clean). The meals are traditional, fresh and extremely tasty... the hosts know how to cook up a storm and you won't be hungry! We'd highly recommend Guesthouse Takiyoshi if you're looking to stay in Yunomine.

The villa has an amazing view across the rice paddies to the Tori gate and then down to the river. The town has all you need to either self cater or eat out and the villa had everything we needed to drink our wine on the verandah and cook our Wagu steaks. Lots of condiments provided for us to do this. We enjoyed being able to have a meal at home and the area is worth staying an extra day or so. We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer.

I hope nothing ever changes in this Ryokan. It was a really special place to stay. The Onsen is so beautiful and the hotel itself is full of character. The meals were incredible each morning and evening. The staff were so welcoming and friendly.

Very cozy spot on the river bank. Ease of access to kumano kodo trail. We did the Hongu loop trail leaving from here, hiking to Hongu-taisha, then bus to Yunomine Onsen, and then hike the rest of the loop from there. Awesome experience!

Clean, tidy self check was easy. Bedrooms have air conditioning, tv and comfortable beds The room facilities are practical: a basin, cabinet for toothpaste/brushes and shaver. Also showering products,.Laundry facilities are good: washing machine cost 300yen and 100 yen for dryer. Good communal area where a view of river and mountains which have a green covering of trees and plants,. Eagles can also be seen from the communal area's windows. Kitchen facilities are very good: electric cooker consists of: 2 X hobs a grill. Pots, pan, cutlery, crockery, kettle, coffee percolator, fridge and freezer accompany the kitchen. The property is cleaned regularly. There is a bus stop outside the property which links up with other transport networks just a few minutes away.A supermarket is 5 minutes away: has all the products for one's stay.The centre of town is one short bus stop outside the property, you could walk there in 10 minutes.
