Fantastic, homely place to stay. Fully equipped ‘house’, extremely clean and well presented and very comfortable. Best of all is the host, Megumi, who was super friendly, personable and helpful with local information. I was travelling solo but this would be a great place for a small group or family to stay. Just wonderful. Thank you Megumi! It was a pleasure meeting you and staying here.

The house is so cute and is at such a nice location. Hosts were so friendly and helpful, such lovely people. Is an awesome experience being in this 120 year old house and we all slept so well on the futon beds. Highly recommend. We will be back if we visit Japan again in the future :)

Facility is well maintained. The owner lady is very kind and a very good cook. Her home made plum wine is so good. Her son’s dish is quite delicious as well. We could enjoy Onsen( @Kazura onsen hotel and @Hikyo no yu) with discount price. Place is located very close to Kazura bridge.

This place was one of the highlights of our entire three weeks in Japan. If youre looking for a traditional style accomodation, this is it. The room is spacious with a beautiful view of the valley. The facilities include delightful outdoor onsen as well as indoor onsen with bubbles. The best part was however the dinner which was consited out of 5 courses out of which all were locally sourced and so delicious. Dining while wearing provided yukata and watching the valley at dusk was just amazing. Thank you so much.

Staying at this hotel for 2 nights was one of the highlights of our trip. Our room was comfortable and very spacious, the meals were exceptional, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the hot spring facility is amazing with fabulous views across the valley. The local scenery is breathtaking. Great value for money!
