We had an incredible stay at the Guest House. Big Bear San was an exceptional host, making sure we had the best experience possible! This was by far the best experience we had here in Japan. A wonderful Japanese hotel - the onsen looks out over the countryside, the meals were superb, using fresh seafood and varied tastes, and the proximity to Sandankyo made for excellent exploring options.

Clean, well run, friendly team.. Stunningly beautiful location surrounded by hills, trees and lake. Onsen was. Well looked after and also had a great sauna. Autumn colours were amazing. Beautiful viewpoint nearby.
