Very nice accommodation, away from the city, but some restaurants are still in a walking distance. Very clean and big rooms, that are also accessible with a wheelchair (just remind the staff to let down the SOS strings, as they were tied up). Pool was also clean and had lots of chairs and umbrellas for shade.

Simona and her family are by far the best hosts we have had anywhere, very welcoming and friendly. Accommodation is well kitted out and comfortable, could easily stay for a week or two (or longer!). Easy access to the Gran Sasso National Park and the immediate area is very beautiful. We felt we were able to relax completely and were sad to leave. Really hope to visit again some time soon!

What can I say? This home was more than Sweet - it was a whole, peaceful experience in its own! Squeaky-clean, welcoming, and host very responsive, flexible, and accommodating (they could take me in last-minute, with just a few hours' notice, which was incredible). The rooms are cozy and you can get a wonderful night's sleep; the common space is quite large, and they have two balconies (one private, one common), where the view of the mountains is fantastic on both sides. Even if it was hot outside, inside the apartment, it was cool, breezy, and very comfortable. I also did remote work while staying here and had no issues. You can walk from the long-distance bus stop (Flibco, Gaspari Bus, TUA), and it is no more than 10 minutes on foot, though it may be a bit cumbersome if you have a lot of luggage. That being said, bus line 1 with the local bus stops just a few meters from the building, or you can walk a couple blocks to a nearby church, and catch bus lines 2, 2U, or 16. You can take the bus for 15-20 minutes, and reach the L'Aquilone mall in Pile without changing any lines! Good number of bakeries and businesses reachable on foot, so you won't go hungry. The real highlight (amongst many) of this place is its hosts (Maddalena and Aurelio). They were extremely kind and, any time I had any issues, they responded quickly and effectively. It exceeded all my expectations. I liked this place so much, I ended up extending my stay. :)

This studio is located on a quiet street in the village of Scoppito, not far from L'Aquila. We arrived late due to a flight delay, but Alessandro gave us a warm welcome and even provided fresh water and some snacks! Casa Menestra is very well furnished, clean and has its own garden. Nice bed and a well-equipped bathroom. Although the house is further away (in time) from L'Aquila than we thought, we found it to be a good base for exploring Abruzzo: L'Aquila, Teramo and Atri, Gran Sasso and Campo Imperatore etc.
