Spacious bedroom with large en-suite bathroom. Comfortable bed, very quiet, restful location with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. Spectacular sunset and starry night sky to follow. Wonderful hosts, very helpful and attentive and they presented us with a very good breakfast next morning. Despite the fact that it was the end of the season, the swimming pool was re-activated just for me! Although off the main road, the property is 5 minutes drive from Fivizzano with bars and restaurants and its Piazza Medicea, which houses a fountain built by Cosimo III de' Medici in 1683. It is only another kilometre to Verrucola, and its fortress. Very interesting!

It was a family run hotel with friendly staff. I can't speak Italian with only limited words, but the staff went out their way to help in any way they could. Location is bang in the middle of Portifino and Pisa and is a beautiful mountain view. The food from the restaurant is amazing!
