We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

Spectacular view, well equipped kitchen, quiet, and wonderful spa experience. We completed the Glymur waterfall hike and returned to a relaxing spa and dinner.

Enjoyed the hot tub at sunset, a lovely dinner and the northern lights (thanks to the wake up service). Room was very spacious. Breakfast was nice!

Everything was perfect. The people there are welcoming and friendly. Loads of space to park. Dinner was really nice. Easily the best view we had from any accommodation during our time in Iceland (which is really saying something because it's a beautiful country). The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with all the facilities we could possibly have wanted. We used the hot tub and sauna shortly after we arrived which was just perfect after our long journey.

The pod was warm, cosy and super clean when we arrived, the kitchen/showers and toilets are close to it so it's really convenient. We had our own sleeping bags so we saved money on that. Probably one of the best value for money you can find in Iceland.

The scenery just outside your windows is unmatched, one one side the Atlantic, on the other the mountains. The drive from Reykjavik is stunning as well, just as everywhere on Iceland. Helpful staff and access to a hot tub and sauna outside.
