Really a beautiful place! The host took us to the house and showed us around. Great hotpot and sauna, we really enjoyed it here. The path leading to the house is rougher than we expected. No problem with a 4x4, but a normal car with standard clearance could be a problem.

We drove off Road 1, on a remote road to get to a place we could not imagine that could be there! The welcoming of Edgar, the surrounding, the views were excellent. The apartment itself was very beautiful. The breakfast was what it should be, not less, not more and it was served as a buffet in a very nice warm room - felt like home. The soups of Edgard, served in the evening, were very, very tasty! It was very much appreciated that guests could have as many refills as needed. The desert (included in the price of the evening meal, very good price for Iceland standards) was so very tasty. It was a very nice place.

The location and service is very good, the atmosphere is nice. You have to be aware that you have to share toilets and kitchen, also that there is people who make noise, snore or smash the doors. If you are sensitive to noise, better bring your earplugs. The kitchen is fully equipped and the place is extremely clean.
