Definitely a memorable experience and would even dare to say, a mandatory stop on your Icelandic roadtrip. Not only was the breakfast the best food we had in Iceland with a great variety of fresh dishes, the location of the hotel is unique (our room had a view to the lush green mountains that are incredibly scenic), the staff was extremely kind and attentive (with a special shout out to the Portuguese gentleman) and facilities makes you stay for a longer period of time (i.e., Spa, thermal baths, ice showers and relaxation rooms overlooking the glaciers and giving an great sense of calmness and relaxation). There was a very nice and friendly woman at the reception who carefully explained how to get to the apartment. We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation, everything was modest, but clean and tidy.

This was the comfiest bed I slept in on my trip to Iceland! They had a cute very friendly dog. There are horses too. The rooms were large and clean. Unfortunately I didn’t see the northern lights but it would be the perfect location for it. There are four rooms and two bathrooms. A cute kitchen where there is everything you need to make meals. They also provide a restaurant recommendation on the paper in the guest house.
