Old Likir Homestay is one of the most secluded and beautiful places you will find in the Himalayas. Resting in a quiet village right below the Likir monastery it truly is a heaven in the mountains. Even after seeing the photos and reading the reviews, nothing prepared me for how breathtaking the place actually was. It completely exceeded all my expectations and the stay at this traditional Ladakh home and was everything I could have ask for. The warmth and hospitality of the host and family made the experience even more special. At a time when places around Leh are becoming more commercialised and crowded being far away from it all here helps you find what you are truly seeking on your journey. This stay will always remain in my memory as one of the most peaceful and unforgettable trips I’ve ever had.
