We stayed here as we had a wedding to go to at Cloughjordan. Really lovely little house and perfect location for the venue. Cloughjordan is quite a small down, but it's got a couple of shops and a cafe. If you want to cook in the house there is also plenty of things to use, such as olive oil and a few seasonings etc. which was a lovely touch. Hosts we're lovely and I would definitely recommend!

Bernie and her husband were absolutely fantastic, so welcoming felt like arriving at your mams house. The hut had absolutely everything we needed and was really cosy. We went for food and a few drinks at the whiskey still and Bernie even managed to arrange music for us! Already planning to book again on our summer visit.

The owner was amazing, we immediately felt like at home. He helped us with planning our trip and gave us food and water even tho it was not included in the price. We had a great time. Very special breakfast room and adjacent garden. Breakfasts were perfect. Our room was in the style we expected for this heritage building. Can easily walk to a local pub for dinner and drink. Host was very friendly and eager to give good advice.

Nice location off the main road in view of the Slieve Bloom mountains near Birr town. Welcomed by Carmel and offered fresh milk for the tea facilities in the room. Medium-sized room but good for the price. Warm and peaceful, very comfortable bed. Delicious healthy breakfast.
