My girlfriend and I had a sudden change of plans and Cathy arranged everything for us to check-in one day earlier at 2am. It's nice to meet people like her and her husband in life. The place was very comfortable and spacious. Beautiful neighborhood and really close to Athlone. It was very easy to use the fire stove and they left us a guide with suggestions on what to do, where to eat, etc. We loved it!

This is a campsite, so I'm giving my review by comparing it to other similar places. It would be unfair to compare a farm to a hotel. That said, my stay was great! The house was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The toilet is outside the building, but it's private because it belongs to that unit only. The showers are shared, which wasn't a problem at all — the bathroom is spacious and very comfortable. It's excellent for kids — my son was delighted!

The B&B is located in a quiet area of Athlone. Easy walking distance to the Centre. Many restaurants or pubs nearby. I can also recommend the local brewery Dead Centre Brewing. You can sit outside with river view. The bear tastes great. The hosts of the Riverdale House gave us many recommendations. Both are very friendly, open minded and helpful. Extremely nice people. The choice for breakfast is great and tastes extremely good. The whole place is lovely decorated and furnished. I wish we had planned a longer stay there. Parking on the spot.

Joe was exceptionally welcoming and accommodated our need for an early breakfast, which was delicious and ample. It was a terrific stay that made me wish we had more time there!
