Katie’s Cottage is a very cozy and comfortable house in the countryside, equipped with everything you need for a few days’ holiday. You’ll find a kitchen with a good gas stove and all you need for real cooking. On a colder day, the solid fuel (wood) stove in the living room gives some very pleasant additional warmth. Brian is a very kind and helpful host, and he has prepared some bits and pieces of information that are not only really helpful to understand where you are and what to do, but are really personal in character. We liked to follow some of this advice, felt quite at home and would have liked to stay for some more days …

I stayed here while travelling alone for work to visit the Teagasc Moorepark research centre (only 15 min away). They were kind, welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and had everything I needed, I was really treated like family! Breakfast was perfect. So beautiful and flavorful. It was the best in our 9-day visit to Ireland. Patrick, Miriam and Elaine were the best hosts. We left feeling very good. Beds were comfortable with duvets that made you want to stay enwrapped in coziness. We loved hiking the grounds and learning about the family, home, work, and history. Ballinwillin House is an asset to Ireland's tourism industry. it's the real deal and a great ambassador for the country.

Deebert House Hotel sits at the foothills of the Ballyhoura Mountains in Kilmallock and is a great base for walkers and ideal for dining.
