The room is clean, comfortable and conviently located. The family is so helpful, caring and firendly. Mr Daud, the owner and an anthropologist, is amazing at sharing his passion and knowledge about his torajan culture during the tours he organises. I had the chance to participate to a funeral ceremony with him and I can not thank him enough for all his explanations, for showing me around off beaten paths, making me feel welcome amongst the locals.

Hendrik, the owner of the homestay and Junes, his nephew were amazing! They were my guides during my stay in Rantepao. I learned so much about this very interesting culture of the Toraja people and saw some amazing places. The homestay is a little out of the town. But Hendrik is a realy good chef and can make a delicious local meal for you! Everything in the room is clean and in the bathroom you have a warm shower! Loved it! Thank you both!

Everything was exceptional! The hosts are amazingly kind and generous. Peso picked us up from the overnight bus and let us into our rooms at 7am, gave us breakfast and got us on his tour for the day. He’s a great guide and runs very smooth tours, he is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Toraja culture and history, his English is good. The room and house is of hotel standard, with homestay personal care and attention. The cleanest feet I’ve had in Indonesia! The best homestay of our travels! The food is delicious and abundant! Quiet location yet central enough, beautiful views. The hosts also dropped us at the bus station for our returning overnight bus, after our 3 day stayed. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you

The family was very kind and Yansen was great guide. Yansen showed us all the interesting places around Rantepao and shared his personal knowledge and experiences about the culture which was super interesting. Definitely recommend ! James and Rian are very hospitality and caring, you will definitely feel like home. One of Must do list in Toraja will be catting with them, you can truly know new generation thoughts about their culture, quite inspiring ! And if you have any questions, they basically can give you resolutions and recommendations, so helpful ! BTW their English is high level, had good communication! Miss them already and their little cute son ❤️ The room is not luxury but very organic and clean !
