I was only crossing the area and I needed a quick stay somewhere for one night. This was a really nice place to stay. The owners are super - friendly, the apartment is big and warm, the beds were super - comfortable. Everything was clean and cozy, and as a bonus there is a bathtub in the bathroom :) :) :) . I can imagine staying here longer, but perhaps not in winter :) I would like to thank the owners for their support, there was even tea and very, very tasty coffee in the kitchen, which helped a lot in the morning :) Very pleasant pricewise.

Well, firstly, great price for value. Second, really nice staff (and her cute cat) came to greet us. Third, great rooms, nice interior, and perfect private area. Moreover, there was also a great communal area for relaxing, really cozy. Bathrooms are very well equipped. 100% recommending.

What a find! A truly unique and memorable place to stay. Well off the beaten track and an adventure in itself to find! The host is wonderful, so welcoming and friendly that we didn't want to leave! Pancakes and village jam, plus some chicken soup because we missed the restaurant closing time. Beautifully converted old cottage with everything you need and more. All kitchen facilities and equipment and most staples as well. Plush comfortable bedding too. Lovely location and in summer would be great for walks I've travelled a lot in Hungary and this is true village family hospitality like you'll not find anywhere else!

This is really an amazing place to be. Located in a very small village in the mountains and forest everywhere. The village is itself very nice, amazing quiet, you only hear the birds at daytime and the crickets at night. Everything basis you need is in the village, a supermarket, a place to drink coffee and eat. The hostel is located in a white community building. Place is very clean. People in the hostel are very friendly and the people in the village too. Room is nice. Toilets and showers are abundant. Hourly busconnection from the village to Szob (and some other little villages and sometimes even direct bus to Vac) with bus 350 and 354. Takes 15 minutes to Szob. There you have hourly - or more - a train to Budapest Nyugati station and also westbound trains to Slovakia, Sturovo, Bratislava and all the way to Brno and Prague. Really good place to get positive energy and relax. English is not widely spoken, one lady could speak very good German. But people will help you, even if you don't speak Hungarian. If you need party life, take a train to Budapest and come back after the party and relax and re-energize in Marianosztra. Place is so nice actually, that one might not even need wifi (wifi was also very good), but you will actually start to live really. Muzea are also in the village and there is a steamlocomotive-line to Szob. There is also a kitchen downstairs, also very clean with all facilities you need.
