Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We’ve seen quite a lot of places in Greece, but this was by far the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. The village is simply beautiful, and the host is truly exceptional – so kind and welcoming. The breakfast was plentiful and prepared with great care. The rooms were spotless, cleaned perfectly every day. A place of pure peace and relaxation. We would honestly give more than 10 stars if we could – highly recommended!

So tiny and still everything there, so well equipped. And so lovely. And did I mention tiny? :-D It´s all ruins around the tower, so very quiet at nights, Vathia is a really cool place to explore. During the day, there´s tourists passing along the path. I enjoyed sitting on the stairs/stones before the (tiny!) door and chatting to some people. The lovely owner also left us the key to her terrace around the corner for breakfast and such. And she let us stay a little longer for the nasty rain on our departure day. Thank you. The tavern in town was open and nice, with great views. Be prepared for a bit of an adventure walk to the place. It´s steep and partly plain rocks. My first thought was "are they nuts?!?, this can´t be the right way?!?". It is not really suitable for suitcases, bring a backpack, and altogether don´t bring much stuff (tiny, remember?) When we checked out with rain, we skipped the slippery "rock stairs" and walked the circle through the ruins the other way around, it´s a bit longer, but possible, you can´t really go wrong.
