Beginning with the pick-up service at the airport upon our arrival until facilitation of our departure towards Senegal everything was perfectly organized by the host Jerreh. Late check-out was no problem at all. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant terrace just 50 m next to the ocean surf was unique. The endless beach in front of the premises was inviting to long walks until the Senegalese border.

As a single traveler i had always someone to talk to in the beautiful roundhouserestaurant and the internet welan connection was very good there. The food was the best i had tasted in the whole Gambia, each meal freshly prepaired and delisciously tasty. The beach was very comfortably reached within minutes of a lovely stroll and was very romantic and relaxing. The owners put personal care into making me feel welcome and at home. I had a great time, thank you to everyone!

Nemasu was by far the best place we stayed in the Gambia. We initially only planned to stay for 2 nights and had booked another place, but when we got to the other place we changed our plans so that we could go back to Nemasu for another 2 nights. It's the perfect place to unwind, right on the beach, super green and quiet and just idyllic. The staff are super nice and the food is excellent. We also booked a bird-watching boat tour through Nemasu with Suleiman that was great. Extra bonus - their dog is the sweetest and there are some kittens running around as well!

This place is magic: You find sweet peace, the sweetest staff, super nice food, and a beautiful beach (or 'the pool' as they call it). You will come back here many times, that's just how good it is!

Each morning we were greeted with a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, hot Tapalapa bread, handcrafted local jams, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber and freshly boiled egg. Sitting under the bantaba we watched the antics of monkeys in the trees, while listening to the myriad calls from exotic local birds.

I Love waking waking up in this serene environment with a huge variety of birds singing songs. Footsteps is very well managed and maintained, the staff is super friendly, well trained and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bed is comfortable. The environment is stunning and the lush gardens are extensive featuring a bird hide and a yogashala with yoga mats provided. The organic gardens provide fresh produce, and the kitchen serves both delicious local dishes and a high standard of international dishes, all presented lovingly with a big smile which nurtures a feeling of being completely taken care off. I have been coming to the Gambia for 13 years staying in various accommodations. While some are good when they first open, many fall apart quickly due to poor management. Not so at footsteps. Footsteps has provided me with consistently fabulous holidays over many years. A big thank you to the entire team.

The food is the best in the Gambia and staff are amazing

Everything in this resort it's amazing. Nice food, nice personal, nice location. Next time when i m coming to Gambia, i ll stay exactly in the same place.

I stayed at Bosofet for a week. The breakfast was very nice. The hosts asked what I like for breakfast and met my needs in detail. I like to start the morning with a cup of tea and every morning, when I came out to my veranda, there was a flask with hot tea ready for me. As I was enjoying my tea, overlooking the sea, did a generous fruit plate arrive. Soon after that a plate with fresh bread, Spanish omelette and coffee. This breakfast kept me going for many hours. You can also buy lunch and dinner at Bosofet, which I did many times. Fresh fish from the nearby fish market, homemade chips, potatoes, rice, vegetables and nice sauces. I ate so well the whole week and was never ill, despite this being my first time in Africa, which proves that their food hygiene is good. This lodge is the last of a few lodges along a beach road. It makes it a secluded paradise beach with beautiful plants and several places so sit under, with sofas, sunbeds and parasols. The sandy beach and the sea is lovely, I swam every day. If you want company, then stroll over to the bar and meet other people. They can also inform you of things that are happening in the local area. The people who are running this lodge are very hospitable and welcoming. They are sensitive to your needs and will do their best to meet them. If you want to go somewhere you just ask them to organise a taxi for you, which helps you to feel safe. I truly recommend a stay at Bosofet Beach and Creek Lodge. Perhaps you have heard the saying “The smiling coast of Africa”? Well – it’s true – I smiled the whole week! And I am going back this June-August. Staying there for almost six weeks!

It’s a little paradise in middle of nowhere, just the song of the ocean and birds to toll us. Ousmane and his team they treated us like princesses ! The food was amazing, fresh coconut and the vegetarian Benachim just for us… Thank you for everything, I hope coming again 🫶🏼
