The location of the cottage is incredible. Located in the middle of the forest, the last 100m can only be reached on foot. The narrow path is beautifully lit and leads up to the cottage. A curved wooden staircase leads to the terrace with incredible views of the forested mountains. The terrace is large with chairs, a table and a hanging chair. The cottage has 2 floors and is more than spacious for 4 people. The facilities are excellent. Everything was super clean. On the upper floor there are 2 large bedrooms with large windows for a fantastic view, above a double bed there is a window that leads up to the roof and offers a view of the starry sky. Each room with comfortable beds, large shelves, bean bags and carpets. For us there was a Christmas tree built on the wall and the outside area was decorated and lit for Christmas. All this together with 60 cm of fresh snow was the perfect Christmas atmosphere for us. It was incredibly beautiful! We would love to come back sometime. Thanks so much!

What a fabulous guesthouse, the room and dining terrace was spotlessly clean. The room was a decent size with new fittings. The owners have went out their way to make guests as comfortable as possible. There were four rooms in a purpose build accommodation block. The terrace area has good views of the castle and is very pleasant, particularly in the evening. The family were all very friendly, particularly the owners son, Giorgi who was very helpful. They provide evening meals at reasonable prices. (We dined at a local restuarant and regretted it...). The other guests dined at the guesthouse and said it was excellent, great home cooking. Just wish we also had dinner there. It's only ten minutes walk to the entrance of the castle. In summary, outstanding value for money.

We had a perfect experience at this accomodation. We stayed in the separated part of the house, located close to the Rabati castle. Hosts were very hospitable, and tasty breakfast was included, so we felt as we had stayed with family!

Wonderful location with amazing view of the castle. Cute balcony at the back, overlooking the courtyard full of flowers. Friendly, helpful host who recommended a brilliant restaurant (we went both nights) called Mimino. Comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen. Free parking in car park opposite.

For sure georgian people are the most hospitable and nice. Golden Gate was the best stay we had in our long trip from Romania. The nice lady that owns the place helped us with the laundry, made for us an overwhealming breakfast and made sure everything was perfect during our stay. We could park safely our motorbike and we left with a big smile. Thank you a lot!

Nice view from the upper floor. Clean and new rooms. The rooms are in the backyard so you hear less from the street which is also quite calm. Nice breakfast in the garden. It's just a bit past the fortress and a perfect place to stay.
