The best place I stayed in Scotland. Historic countryside house near the Cairngorns with charm and personality and a beautiful garden. Incredible story of the family who owned the place, in particular Lady MacRoberts and her connection to the RAF, which guests can see and feel in the main house. Excellent dinner and breakfast in the Conservatorium (I didn't try the Library dinner, but I guess it is a remarkable experience). Lovely bar, very professional and friendly staff.

Tucked away in a lovely quiet wee village in the beautiful Scottish highlands. An easy drive from Aberdeen and only twenty minutes away from Balmoral Castle. My single room was a delight in all respects and the breakfast provided was the best provided during my tour of Scotland.

Location excellent. A real home from home - very comfortable. Great layout for quite a small property. Everything considered. Particularly like the outdoor space - great to have somewhere to sit as the weather was lovely.

The lovely little pods were a calming and cosy place to stay. The bathrooms are spacious and were kept really clean and warm, so was the Snug cottage. You have to be prepared to walk outside your little hut whenever you need something so some easy to put on shoes are a good idea. The owners are really nice and helpful whenever you need something. You can really see the care and thought they put it the accommodation. Overall it was an incredibly good value for the money and we would 100% recommend it.

We loved home cooked breakfast, design of interiors and advice on spending time around (when it comes to trekking, looking for dinner with children, drinks or other activities nearby) provided by the best owner we have met (Helen). First of all: Thank you so much, Alison and Les and Teddy! ad breakfast: a huge range to choice from. The omelette was just unbelievable. ad room: lovely, comfy rooms. The bathroom had even a bath tub. I slept extremely well because there was no noise. It felt like home. Alison and Les are wonderful and great hosts. And Teddy, the dog, is just cute.
